Altusen Terminal Server Initial Setup

Assume you have a terminal server. We describe the method, how to get access to that device.

  1. To drop the previous settings, switch the box on, press the Reset button and keep it pressed for some time.
  2. Switch the power off.
  3. Look at the MAC address at the bottom of your Altusen box and map the desired IP address to that MAC address, e.g. by typing the following command in your Windows machine:
    arp -s 10.120.29.125 00-10-74-33-0A-0F
  4. Switch the Altusen device back on.
  5. Access the address https://10.120.29.125/index.html
  6. Enter by default credentials "administrator" and "password"
  7. Click the Network button at the top.

  8. Write these values:
    Primary IP: 10.120.29.125
    Primary Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
    Gateway: 10.120.29.1
    Primary DNS Server: 10.120.4.50
    Click Update
  9. Click the General button at the top. Leave the station name SN0116, but reset the password to the one on your data sheet. Set Session timeout to 0 (disabled).
  10. Click Logout and enter with your new password.
